< BACK | Round One: Pukekohe (3-4 November, 2007)

Hi all,
The 2007/08 Suzuki swift cup season has began to a great start as after the 1st round at Pukekohe on the weekend I am leading the championship by 8 points.
Qualifying: Qualified P2 and was happy with that as it was front row.

Race 1: Had a good start, held p2 for 2 laps then went backwards in a bad way going back to 6th. Woke up mid race and drove back to finish 3rd. was not a flash race at all.
Race 2: Started P3, great start moving into p2 through turn 4 (railway) caught up to Brock Barrie and followed him for 3 laps to pull away from rest of field. Mid race I outbraked him at the hairpin where I then held on to the lead until the finish (Also getting new lap record.) Pretty happy with that race as I couldn’t ask for much more.
Race 3: Started P7, Rain was pouring down, had a great start and really pushed the Suzuki being in 1st place by lap 3 and lead until lap 7 when the race was finished due to an accident on the hill.
It was a great weekend and a great start to the championship.
I am looking forward to round 2 (Ruapuna) in 2 weeks time as this is my home track and I have done a lot of laps here. It should be great and hopefully I can extend my lead!
